Active Building


Signing up for Active Building

New Neighbors listed on the lease (aged 18 and over) will automatically receive an invite to Active Building the day after move-in. To register, simply select “Click Here to Get Started.”

If you haven’t received a message or can’t access Active Building, kindly give us a shout at the Leasing Office.

Submitting a Service Request

To submit a Service Request online, simply follow these steps:

  • Log into Active Building.
  • Click “Submit a Request” from the left-hand menu.
  • Choose “Service Request.”
  • In the text box, include your name, apartment number, a detailed description of the issue and whether or not our team has permission to enter your Home if you’re not around. If you’d prefer to be present, let us know a preferred date and time during business hours.
  • Click “Submit.”

If you have an emergency Service Request after hours (such as no electricity, flooding water, smoke detector alarm) call the After Hours Emergency phone number and one of our Service Team members will assist you.

You can also give us a call, stop by the office or send us an email.

Using Active Building

Active Building is our portal for our Neighborhoods, where you can do the following:

  • Check your account.
  • Pay your rent online.
  • Submit a Service Request.
  • Access lease documents.
  • View announcements.
  • Post messages.
  • Reserve amenities and more.

Forgotten passwords

If you forgot your password, just log into Active Building and follow these steps:

  • Click “Forgot Password.”
  • Enter your email address.
  • Click “Submit.”
  • Follow the instructions for acquiring a new password.

Reserving amenities online

Nearly any common area can be reserved at zero cost to you. Because it’s your Neighborhood, these are your amenities and this is your Home. Just make a reservation by placing a deposit with us, and the space is all yours.

To start the process, stop by the Leasing Office or log into Active Building. For online users, here’s a breakdown of how to reserve an amenity:

  • Log into your Active Building Portal account, then select “Reserve Amenity” from left-hand menu.
  • Locate the amenity you wish to reserve and click “Reserve This Amenity.”
  • Review calendar for availability and fill in Date, Time, and Length of the requested reservation. Then, click “Continue.”
  • Check the acknowledgement box to accept rules and regulations, then click “Submit.”
  • Stop by your Neighborhood Leasing Office to drop off the required deposit.
  • Your Neighborhood team will contact you within 24-72 hours to confirm your reservation.

Please note: Amenities may not be reservable on holidays, as we like to keep them available for all Neighbors to enjoy.


Paying move-in balance online

  • Log into Active Building (our online leasing portal).
  • Go to “Sign & Pay” on Step 4.
  • Select to pay “Total Balance Due” or “Other Amount.”
  • Enter your payment information.
  • Click “Save & Continue.”

Leasing online

Don’t worry — leasing online is as simple as training your cat to ignore you. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Visit
  • Find your apartment.
  • Select your desired lease term.
  • Enter your renter information (for all lease-holding adults).
  • Pay application fee(s) and self-screen for income and credit (criminal in OR & WA).
  • Upon screening approval, complete your application and submit verifying documents.
  • Pay your deposit.
  • Sign your Lease.
  • Pay your move-in balance.
  • Receive your keys, do a little dance and enjoy your new Home.

Paying rent online

  • Log into Active Building.
  • Click “Make a Payment” from the left-hand menu.
  • Choose between “Make a Payment” for a one-time payment, or “Set Up Recurring Payments” to schedule automatic recurring payments.
  • Select a previously entered payment account or set up a new one.
  • Input an amount to pay and the preferred date for your payment to process.
  • Click “Review & Confirm Payment.”
  • Make some toast. (Optional.)
