As CEO, Jackie Safier has a really primo parking space. Jackie has over 30 years of experience in property development and management (which is roughly equivalent to 150 in normal years) and has been at Prometheus for 32 years. During her time behind the wheel, Prometheus has racked up more than 100 design and industry awards. No stranger to hitting the books, Jackie has received her Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University, which is known in Boston as being “wicked smaht”. She also serves on the Board of Overseers for UCSF and the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics Policy Advisory Board. Jackie has served on the Board of Visitors for UC Berkeley and is currently President of the Helen Diller Foundation and the Helen Diller Family Foundation.

Jackie Safier

John Millham leads our investment, development, construction and asset management strategy and has been with the firm for 25 years. He’s acquired over $5 billion in real estate during his tenure, helping us grow to over 13,000 apartments and nearly 2 million square feet of commercial office and retail space–enough space to park 990 school buses. John earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley.  He is on the National Multifamily Housing Council board and a member of the Urban Land Institute. When not hunting for real estate, he likes to fly fish instead.

John Millham

Pat Calihan knows his way around dollars and cents. Since joining us in 2006, he’s been involved with 45 projects that Prometheus has purchased or built, comprising over 10,700 apartments and nearly $5 billion in total project costs. Between reviewing balance sheets, Pat still manages to unwind. He’s a member of the San Francisco Guardsmen, San Mateo County Leadership Council and Urban Land Institute. While earning his bachelor’s from the University of Arizona, he was a member of the men’s golf team… although he would be quick to point out that he was very far down the bench and saw little playing time.

Pat Calihan

Justin Halada oversees operations, asset management, business intelligence, FP&A, and repositioning for our portfolio – and batted cleanup for the company softball team. That’s some pretty brainy stuff. And he has the street cred to back it up. Before joining Prometheus, Justin was a vice president with Redhill Realty Investors. In addition to overseeing its asset management team, he executed value-add business plans up and down the West.  Justin’s also a bobcat – the Ohio University sort. That’s where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis on finance and business law, while playing varsity football.  

Justin Halada

Pete Olson, a real CFO’s CFO, has been managing cash flow and serving up sound financial strategy for nearly a quarter of a century. He has led companies through global growth, systems integration, mergers, acquisitions and, in the case of BRE Properties, the ultimate sale of the company. Pete has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sacramento State University, he’s a Certified Public Accountant, and he prefers the more dynamic term “number cruncher” to “bean counter.” Outside of work, Pete enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and 2 daughters hiking, biking and playing tennis.

Pete Olson

With 30+ years of experience in the multifamily industry, Kellie currently serves as the SVP of Operations at Prometheus. Day to day, Kellie takes multi-tasking to another level overseeing the seamless operation of 14,000 apartments across Northern California, Portland, and Washington, as well as a development pipeline of 2,000 units. Focused on team development and engagement, operational service and efficiencies, and organizational reputation. When she’s not in the office, you can find Kellie working on a different sort of team engagement, competing in the sport of Reining (think agility course on a horse) with her 1,100-pound equine partner, Darlin.

Kellie Meier

Eron Kosmowski is a proud Michiganian and the kind of person you want watching your retirement fund. That’s why we’ve had him keep an eye on our funds for the past 13 years. And in that time, he’s financed more than $4.5 billion. Not quite chump change. Eron has proven to be a wizard with long and short-term financial strategies, property tax appeals, corporate cash flow, and cash management. Eron earned a degree in Economics from Northwestern University, where in addition to hitting the books, he also hit the field as a member of the varsity football squad. Go Wildcats!

Eron Kosmowski

Born and raised on sunny Oahu, Hawaii, Tessa’s friendly demeanor makes her a very approachable General Counsel, but don’t let that fool you–she has deep experience in real estate law. Prior to Prometheus, Tessa was in-house counsel at Fry’s Electronics, handling the company’s real estate, development, and construction matters. She was also a partner at Folger Levin & Kahn in San Francisco, where she handled commercial litigation and honed her interest in real estate law, representing contractors and developers. Tessa graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado College and earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco, where she was on the law review.

Tessa McFarland

Dan has 22 years of experience in the multi-family construction and development industry including time spent building top-flight buildings with Lennar, Greystar, Archstone, and BRE Properties. We’re thrilled to have Dan as part of the Prometheus family to build the next phase of our robust pipeline. When he’s not orchestrating new creations at work, he’s running after his three young boys determined to do their own demolition work on the family home. Daniel has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, Hayward and although the college has since renamed, he assures us that the degree is still valid.

Dan Emerson

Born in Queens and a product of a Long Island 80’s adolescence, home for Don is Billy Joel, the Mets, summers on Robert Moses, and local NY pizza. For college, Don attended the Harvard of the east, which also happens to be the actual Harvard, where he enjoyed life by the Charles and played in the 1987 Ivy Football Championship. In 1989, Don left the east coast for the lifestyle and climate of San Francisco, landing just in time for the Loma Prieta earthquake. While unnerved, Don remained in California, where he began his career in real estate development. Don enjoyed stints of 15 and 8 years, respectively, at SNK Realty Group and Mill Creek Residential, where he led urban infill multifamily development and acquisition efforts in the Bay Area. Don arrived home at Prometheus in January 2021. Don’s professional affiliations have included Urban Land Institute, National Multi-Housing Council and San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR).

Don Peterson

When Vik Lu isn’t chasing around his two sons or dominating the latest fantasy sports league, he manages our Information Technology team. That includes all our Business Applications, Information Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Telecommunications, and Software Development needs. If it involves bits, bytes, or pixels, Vik is the guy you want to talk to. Vik has 25 years of industry experience and came to us from BRE Properties, where he was Director of Network Operations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from San Francisco State University.

Vikien Lu

A west coast convert, Picole made the transition to the best coast from Florida over 10 years ago. She received her degree in Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University and is first to admit proximity to the beach was a big part of her college selection process. Prior to joining Prometheus, Picole was VP of Human Resources and Risk Management at Woodside Hotel Group with previous work for Rosewood Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. At Prometheus, she leads the charge in our care for our Prometheans - curating talent, supporting development, and fostering well-being initiatives (that may or may not be beach-related) for over 500 Prometheans.

Picole Lamarre

A self-proclaimed military brat, moving frequently has helped Marni develop the adaptability which has served her so well for over 25-years in commercial real estate. With experience in industrial, R&D, office and retail space; Marni currently oversees the leasing, construction, operations and engineering needs of our commercial portfolio at Prometheus. Having completed over $250m in leasing transactions, her Prometheus portfolio now boasts 1.2m sq.ft. of office and 300k sq.ft. of retail space in Northern California, Portland, and Seattle. In her spare time, Marni enjoys celebrating the fruits of this labor with the “other” love of her life, Stanley.

Marni Lopez

Tony DeShaw is a handy guy. He was a jet engine mechanic with the U.S. Navy, is certified to use nearly every type of construction equipment at Prometheus and enjoys perfecting advanced remote-controlled helicopter maneuvers in his backyard. He’s good with his brain, too. As a Prometheus maintenance supervisor in 2005, his work on the renovations at our Orchard Glen Neighborhood helped lay the groundwork for our current renovation program. His responsibilities have grown considerably since then, and today, he oversees the capital and renovation work for every one of our Neighborhoods (none of which feature a jet engine...yet).

Anthony DeShaw

Ian is a fifth generation Bay Area native with 18 years’ experience in the multifamily housing industry. He temporarily relocated to Southern California for college and got his BA In Economics from UC Irvine. Go anteaters, zot zot! Ian has been with the Prometheus family for 15 years and can always be counted on for a stellar Dad joke. Ian represents Prometheus on a variety of board and associations locally and in the PNW. He heads up the company’s Business Intelligence team and leads Asset Management. When not working, Ian’s favorite place to be is on a sailboat sailing to Hawaii - he’s raced there six times and even won the Pacific Cup on a 24-foot, double handed sailboat (10 days, 14 hours, 30 minutes). Ian lives in Marin County with his wife and three young future skippers.

Ian Rogers

At 6’8”, Dave Krasowski towers over most of us. And when you’re that tall, choosing a career with hardhats is a wise decision. With his elevated perspective, it’s fitting that he has helped build some of our most ambitious projects, like the 549-unit Hearth in Santa Clara. Dave brings more than 30 years of multifamily construction experience to Prometheus and has overseen construction and delivery of over 3000 homes during his tenure. Dave received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In his spare time, he enjoys getting more down to earth and growing orchids.

Dave Krasowski

Originally from New Jersey with pit stops in New Hampshire, Idaho, and Oregon, Tim has lived in the only two states that don’t let you pump your own gas. Coincidence? Probably. He also knows a thing or two about making new places feel like home. He was first introduced to Prometheus while working on a landscape project at one of our Seattle area Neighborhoods and met us again while designing Mission Dolores Park for the Helen Diller Family Foundation. Call it kismet. Since joining our team, Tim has left his indelible design mark on every one of our Neighborhoods. He brings 20 years of multidisciplinary design experience and a love for the Seahawks to our Prometheus family.

Tim Nash

Paul Boatman is no stranger to risk. Not so much taking them, more like wrestling them into submission. He has over 20 years of experience in managing operational and insurable risks, working with top hospitality organizations Vail Resorts and Hilton Hotels. On the weekends, you can find Paul at the helm of his sailboat tacking around the San Francisco Bay. In fact, many Prometheus departments accept his invitation to join him on sailing excursions for team bonding events. Paul has a Bachelor in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Risk Management from Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and has his Associate in Risk Management and Charted Property Casualty Underwriter designations. Paul is currently the chairman of the National Multifamily Housing Council Risk Management group.

Paul Boatman

Alex first met Prometheus in 1994, when many of his law school classmates resided in Prometheus Neighborhoods. His relationship with our organization has evolved since then from occasional visitor and guest to VP and Deputy General Counsel. California born and raised; Alex grew up in Santa Cruz before trading in those beach views for greener pastures in Indiana at the University of Notre Dame. After graduating with honors, he spent 18 years at Fry’s Electronics, specializing in business litigation and transactional matters, which included 15 years as General Counsel of the San Jose SaberCats Arena Football League team–owners of the most terrifyingly awesome logo in all of sports.

Alex Curotto

A Colorado native, Josh has called California home for 15-years. A personal joy of his is attending SF Giants games in CO Rockies gear. Sports affiliations aside, Josh loves this NorCal playground and can be found (or more accurately, lost) running in the Santa Cruz or Sierra mountains any given weekend. Prior to joining Prometheus, Josh built a successful 20-year hospitality career overseeing sales, marketing, and brand development in 6-major markets across the U.S. and Europe with Marriott, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and finally, Woodside Hotel Group. Josh enjoys continuing to bring luxury hospitality design, marketing and service sensibilities to life at Prometheus.
