Mama Bird and G-Love Bring Fresh Eats to The Carson
The Carson Apartments, our newest collection of apartment homes in Northwest Portland, is welcoming two new restaurants to the neighborhood. Mama Bird and G-Love are set to arrive in late 2019, and both pack serious flavor with a focus on local and sustainable ingredients.
Mama Bird is centered around the “delicious is healthy” mantra with a menu that features wood fire grilled chicken, farm and seasonally driven grilled vegetables, potato options, polenta, and desserts. For the bone broth lovers out there, you’ll be pleased to know that the bone broth will be sold a la carte as well – perfect for a stop after the gym.
The space will be warm and welcoming, featuring 10-12 draft beers and a wine selection. And for those on the go, Mama Bird will also offer take-home family dinners. Delicious, healthy, and ready for your table without any prep work? Yes, please.
Also moving in at The Carson is G-Love – a flip on your traditional steakhouse idea. Instead of hearty proteins taking center stage, dishes will focus on robust veggies sourced directly from Chef and Owner Garrett Benedict’s family farm - Olde Moon Farm. One of the restaurant’s cornerstone philosophies is; in-house is best. Whether it is the house-made butter program or the freshly baked bread made on site daily, G-Love will revolve around the idea that exploration and experimentation are the most important drivers of creativity.
Bonus: No dish will exceed $20 and featured music will include everything from Motown and Soul to Americana and Disco hits – making this the absolute perfect stop for an after-work dinner with friends.
