Introducing the Prometheus Family Suite – A JW House Program

We’re excited to announce new programming with our long-time Porch partner JW House of Santa Clara, a non-profit that provides an extended-stay “home” for families with a loved one in treatment at a Silicon Valley hospital. Together we’ve created the Prometheus Family Suite – A JW House Program.
Located just five minutes from Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Clara Medical Center, this program will specifically accommodate caregivers who require long-term housing of anywhere from two weeks to two months. The project comes in response to the ongoing need from JW House guests, who are typically limited to a five-night overnight stay to accommodate more families. Through this partnership, JW House will host families in an offsite Prometheus apartment, giving caregivers all the comforts of home in their very own space.
“We feel so fortunate that this partnership with Prometheus Apartments will give JW House families more nights of rest than ever before,” shares Stephanie Kavanagh, Board President of JW House. “By offering fully stocked, apartment-style accommodations, families who need somewhere to stay for weeks or even months will have the dignity, independence, and compassion they deserve. The goal of this project is to provide more than just lodging — we want to create a true “home away from home.”
Beginning August 2021, guest families will be able to reserve and stay at Prometheus Family Suite - A JW House Program.
If you would like to support the families in need, please head over to their registry list to help outfit their new apartment with a “welcome home” gift visit www.amzn.to/3zsSxyP to view the registry. This registry will be used to add all the necessities of home to this important space and will go directly to the families in need.
