How You Can Help the Camp Fire Survivors


We have all tuned into the evening news and witnessed the blaze of flames currently sweeping through Northern California. We’ve all seen the smoke from over a hundred miles away. It is times like these when being neighborly reaches beyond our county lines and stretches to our fellow man when in need.
 
Cal Fire is presently battling an astonishing 113,000 acres of wildfires with only 25% containment. There have been 6,453 homes destroyed and 260 businesses lost. There are 29 families who are grieving not the loss of possessions, but loved ones. 
 
These neighbors of ours are living in campers, community halls, and evacuation centers with only the items they were able to pack in a rush to escape. Shelters are reporting truckloads of donations pouring in. What our Northern California neighbors need most now beyond our love and support are monetary goods. By donating to The Red Cross, they will be able to provide meals, hotel vouchers, and other needed resources.
