In Portland, you don’t need an excuse to hit the streets in full costume, just ask The Unipiper. But if you’re feeling festive and looking to celebrate everything spooky and scary, this is the time of year to go all out. Here’s a quick roundup of a few uniquely Portland Halloween events. We’ve even thrown in a couple Día de los Meurtos events for good measure.

Portland’s latest addition to the live performance haunted attraction has been getting quite a bit of buzz. With separately themed sections, it promises to have something to scare everyone. On October 27, they tone it down for the faint of heart and kids.

A long-time local tradition, this is a private residence but they go all out. Make the trek to check out this year’s animatronics graveyard. Plus, it’s free!
Walking Tours and Pub Crawls

Visit two haunted historic pubs and Portland’s famous underground tunnels. Journey into shanghai tunnels for a real paranormal encounter and learn about the wicked and lawless past of Portland’s underground.
October 27 | 1 - 3pm | All ages | Free
The spirits of historic Portland will be wandering the grounds and whispering about their colorful lives and deaths. There will also be candy, for those not swayed by spirits.
Día de los Muertos Events
Friday, October 30 - November 1 | All ages | $5 advanced, $7 day of
Come to enjoy candy sculpture and mask making workshops, celebrations, face painting, music, and so much delicious Latin American food.
November 2 | 4 - 9 pm | All ages
